Woods of Desolation by AdMalamCrucem Woods of Desolation by AdMalamCrucem
Just a misty morning, and the tall pines on the slope of a forest.

The shattered branches on the ground kind of stressed on the ominous feeling I want to give here.

The trees are what links the darkness where we walk to the brightness of the sky, yet all the lower branches are dead and make the light unreachable.

Oh, and the title comes from the name of a blackmetal band.

Amazing story being told here (and am against the widespread growth of pines - for a reason).
Lovely shot, and please allow me to use it alongside a similarly themed work here : poeticrealm.blogspot.com/2014/…

Hi! Thank you, and feel free to use it as long as you indicate where it comes from.

Concerning pines, I would have a lot to say about it too, but IMO not all pines are a true concern. I think pinus sylvestris (which we see here) isn't really harmful.
Maybe we could talk about it some day.
And I'll make sure to read your blog when I have time!

Cheers,
Adrien

This is tres belle! The fog adds a gorgeous effect, and I really love the slant of the landscape. The b+w is an awesome choice for this, so great job all together! :D

Thanks for your comment !
And yes, this forest is covering a small mounatin, so there's quite a bit of a slope. :)
